Fatal System Errors in the US Education System

Recently, now actually, I saw a post of a movie on Facebook that detailed simple questions posed to college students regarding BASIC social and historical reality, events and the people who govern our nation. The results were astounding to say the least! Abject failure and an inability to identify or name ANY of those individuals, places and events. Pretty easy right? So why is it we don’t recognize or refuse to acknowledge the demands are different today?

This is scary as it will define the collapse of our nation step-by-step and bit-by-bit till we are reduced to a social collection of ignorance.Let’s examine the reason and solutions.1. Closed for Business!Faculties find their presence tied to community standards and fiscal restraints dependent on the community service… or lack of. The result is that colleges are closing at an alarming rate throughout the country. The decision to close a school seldom reflects the requirements of a community or, even more importantly, the demands of their pupils!There appears to be concern for the needs of the communities children’s education compared to the financial demands of the location of their school or the resources available. Where’s the federal government when this happens? Well, they’re partially to blame. The authorities rhetoric details the need for cheap, quality education while they need that college systems adhere to particular federal mandates that tie the college government’s hands to comply with political wants. So much for national assistance.2. Two-Gallons of milk in a one-gallon jug! That depends upon whether you are looking to instruct the kids or become a daycare service. I understand, pretty harsh but examine the function of schools today. Mostly providing them with basic food and discipline that they rarely get a t home! Oh admin it. Teachers must discipline your children in a crowded atmosphere where security is no longer guaranteed and instruction takes a back seat to providing basic demands that parents are reluctant to, either uneducated to or unable to supply. Waitwhat about education? Well, there is so little time to get that that caring for them takes priority over instructing them.Secondarily, because of the limitations of federally-mandated guidelines, the kids are taught in a cookie-cutter style standard of personality-limiting, creative-minimizing and individually-restrictive processes to get them to their adulthood. Standard education with basic performance that contrasts children to fundamental standards that align with everybody else’s fundamental demands. Sad as it is performed in classrooms where teachers have been forced to”teach” more children than 1 person could attend . How successful is that?3. If You Do What You’ve Always Done… You’ll Get What You’ve Always Gotten!How do we expect our kids to shine when their parents are minimally educated. An individual has to understand that this cycle of bad education will produce more poorly educated children who will produce more poorly-educated kids and so forth and so on. Parents are so busy fighting to earn a living today due to a bad economy or a lack of chance that there’s little time to attend to their children’s schooling at home let alone at college. Involvement is also crucial especially when the parents are minimally educated because they lack the foresight and expertise to guide a young man to the ideal path. It matters not whether you are poor and trying hard to earn a living that doesn’t allow for time to teach your kids at home OR whether your well off and fight to maintain a career that doesn’t allow for time to attend your kids at home. In any event, the education suffers.4. I was told I was stupid. I had been told that I could never understand because I lacked the simple ability to comprehend or understand anything that a typical person was expected to understand. Can you imagine? Well, today I am needing a doctorate in education. Highly educated holding several degrees and formally recognized because of my teaching skills and functionality as a teacher. If a child is to be contested then the child has to recognize their worth and value as an individual. EVERY child is talented and gifted in something and should be recognized for it immediately and always. Oh yes, failure occurs but that is part of this lesson as well. Individualized learning platforms and initiatives are crucial to the future and support of instructional success. The gifted and talented programs require a child be recognized and innovative because of their special gift rather than the initiative available to ALL students. I believe that EVERY child has the opportunity to show their present if given the opportunity to allow it to reveal itself. Why limit other children’s opportunity to excel because somebody did not recognize their abilities? Beyond me.
