In the 1950s, Virgili Palau began working in the rabbit-breeding sector in Avià, a little village in the Catalan pre-Pyrenees. What started with scarce means and in a precarious way has become a modern, dynamic and lively enterprise at present. Offering a product with the best quality can only be achieved by starting the process from the product's origin, by selecting the best male rabbits, possessing the best installations and equipment, keeping a high level of accurate hygiene on the farms and carrying out the appropriate health inspections on the rabbits either befor and after being slaughtered. However, we never forget the simplicity with which the company started up and we always bear in mind we need a personal dealing with the orders from our customers. PALAU AND SONS GROUP is alive and ambitious and our aim is to achieve a comprehensive service. At our enterprise we do not depend on other suppliers: we produce the feed for the rabbits, possess our own inseminating farms, control all the fattening process, the slaughter, and we ourselves commercialize and distribute all our products.
